This sachet contains a wound-packing hemostatic granule made for exactly that moment: pour it straight into a bleeding wound to slow the flow and help it clot, so you can get your dog stabilised and back down the hill to the vet.

For temporary external use only

Description

Keep this handy if your dog gets torn up in the scrub.

Hunting dogs cop it out there, tusk wounds, barbed wire, supplejack, sharp scrub. A bad tear a long way from the truck can turn serious fast. This sachet contains a wound-packing hemostatic granule made for exactly that moment: pour it straight into a bleeding wound to slow the flow and help it clot, so you can get your dog stabilised and back down the hill to the vet.

These high-absorbent hemostatic chitosan granules are intended to be used for temporary control of bleeding wounds.

What it does

  • Direct-pour - for deep wounds, tears and lacerations where pressure alone won't hold.
  • Helps blood clot faster -adheres and seals the bleeding site.
  • Goes where you go - compact 2g pouch lives in your first aid kit or hunting pack
  • Sterile, single-use pack

How to use on a dog

  1. Clear away pooling blood and loose debris from the wound.
  2. Pour the granules directly onto the source of the bleeding.
  3. Cover and apply firm pressure for 3–5 minutes. Have a mate hold the dog, even a good dog will react to a sore wound.
  4. Get to a vet as soon as you can.

This is first-aid to help control bleeding. It doesn't replace veterinary or medical treatment, always follow up with a professional.
