The Vellum is a skinning knife that rolls through without nicking meat, so you skin fast out in the field. NZ designed and tested for the way Kiwis actually hunt.
Under the system, the Vellum is the first step, skin with the Vellum, bone with the Quarry, finish with the Brawler.
This knife pack comes with a Lockjaw sheath, thermoformed to the exact shape of the knife. The Vellum clicks in and holds secure, it stays seated no matter how you carry it. The sheath is fully waterproof, so rain and blood will run straight off. No oiling, no drying out, no rot. Wipe it down and it's done. This pack is tough but light on your belt.
The Vellum is a skinning blade done properly, taper-ground high quality stainless, with a grippy polypropylene handle that doesn't slip wet.

Skinning work needs control, especially when your hands are wet, cold or covered in blood. The Vellum uses a grippy polypropylene handle designed to stay secure in the hand when conditions are less than ideal. The stainless blade is hard and wear resistant, with HRC 55 to 56 hardness and a 2.4 to 2.5mm blade thickness that gives the knife a strong, dependable feel without making it heavy or awkward. From opening cuts to careful caping work, the Vellum gives hunters the grip, balance and edge control needed to work cleanly and confidently.

The Vellum Working Pack comes with the custom Lockjaw Sheath, thermoformed to the exact shape of the knife for a firm, secure fit. The sheath is fully waterproof, so rain, blood and mud run straight off. There is nothing to oil, dry out or rot after a hard day out. Wipe it down and it is done.
