Choose The Right Knife For The Job
Each knife comes as a Working Pack — knife plus its custom thermoformed Lockjaw sheath, for about the price of the knife alone elsewhere.

Pick The Blades For Your Job
Grab the Working Packs you need, or take the Field Trio — all three for $169, the cheapest way in.
What Every Game Gear Knife Does
Holds Secure
Every Lockjaw sheath is thermoformed to the exact shape of its knife. The blade clicks home and stays put — hold it upside down and shake it, it doesn't budge.
Fully Waterproof
Rain, blood and river water run straight off the Kydex. No oiling, no drying out, no rot. Wipe it down and it's done — zero maintenance, holds its fit for life.
Honest Steel
All three run a high quality stainless blade — all taper-ground to a keen edge, with a grippy polypropylene handle that doesn't slip wet. Value-built steel for the job, done properly.
One System, Three Steps
Each blade is shaped for its step of the job — so you carry the right knife, not one blade making do.
| Knife | The Job | Blade Profile | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vellum | Skin | Broad upswept skinner | Caping & hide work — rolls through without nicking meat |
| Quarry | Bone | Slim narrow boner | Working close to the bone — strip a carcass clean |
| Brawler | Finish | Stout clip-point | Pig-dog work — stick, then dress and prep for the pack-out |

Shop The RangeGear That Earns Its Place
Game Gear is NZ-owned, NZ-designed and field-tested in the conditions Kiwis actually hunt in — bush, tussock, rivers and rock; mud, rain and scrub. We didn't build a knife to look good in a cabinet. We built a system: a blade for each step of the job, paired with a sheath that holds it for life.
No discounting, no gimmicks — just honest steel and a custom Lockjaw sheath for about the price of the knife alone elsewhere. It's why most of our customers come back.
Questions, Answered
All three are a high quality stainless blade — all taper-ground, HRC 55/56, honest value-built steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to bring back. Wipe dry after use; a touch-up on a steel or stone keeps the edge keen. No special oiling needed.
Each Lockjaw sheath is thermoformed to the exact shape of its knife, so the blade clicks home and locks — hold it inverted and it stays seated. It's fully waterproof Kydex, so blood and water run straight off. Wipe-clean, zero maintenance. The one honest trade-off: the click on the draw is a touch louder than leather.
No — the Lockjaw sheath is custom-fit to each blade and comes included with every Working Pack (knife + sheath, $119). It isn't sold separately.
The Field Trio ($169) comes in a knife roll and presentation tube — it does not include Lockjaw sheaths. If you want the custom Lockjaw sheath, choose the individual Working Packs instead.
As a launch offer, you can add our Sharpening System for $10 (valued at $39) with any individual knife — the Vellum, Quarry or Brawler Working Pack. It's an introductory add-on to keep your blade field-sharp from day one, offered at checkout. It's available with the individual knives only, not the Field Trio.
Free NZ shipping on orders over $149. 30-day returns on unused knives in original packaging. NZ designed and field-tested — built to earn its place on your belt.
