Description

Stop sleeping on rocks. Stop sleeping on roots. Stop waking up on a slope with your hip screaming.

The Cocoon is basically a floating bivy that rises you above all the ground nonsense and keeps you genuinely comfortable. Best features of both hammock and tent in one system. Set it up in seconds, and you're already thinking about how you ever hunted without it.

Two ways to sleep, one system: Hang it as a hammock when trees are there. Can't find two trees? Stake it flat on the ground and you've got the ultimate bivy. Either way, you're off the dirt.

Protection that works: Full bug protection with high-density polyester mesh keeps the mozzies out. Clip-on waterproof rain fly (260T polyester, PU-backed, 3000mm rating, seam-sealed) locks weather out. Two 7-series aluminium poles frame everything up and give you proper volume inside.

What's included: Free 3-season under quilt, a hanging sleeping bag designed specifically to clip under your hammock and insulate from beneath. 2 pegs, 2 guy ropes, YKK zippers throughout. Supports up to 200kg. Packed weight 1600g, packed size 43 × 18cm.

The moment you sleep in the Cocoon, you'll understand why serious hunters and trampers swear by it. You've spent enough nights on the wrong ground. Time to change that.

Cocoon hammock

Got it the day after I ordered. Decided to set it up at home to test before I take it to Fiordland. It was easy to set up even without instructions. I’m a side sleeper so my first attempt to sleep was a learning curve and ended up bailing back to my bed at 3am, but the next night I used a very small and thin sleeping pad, added the under quilt, a better sleeping bag and it was 100% better. Handled the rain like a champ and stayed dry. Very comfortable to relax in. Highly recommend.

thank you for buying from us - hope the Fiordland trip goes good - no snoring and scaring all the big stags away!

The real-eo deal-eo

I really really rate this design. Easy to set up and adjust. I did alot of adjusting. If you happen to have a bit of a spare tyre like I do in the front then set it a bit higher than you think you should. Trees do bend 😅 get it nice and level or your end up like a banana at the bottom end of it all. Gravity has a way of piling you and your spare tyre up in one corner.
Having the quilt on in summer I ended up a bit warm and had to ditch the extra layers. In winter time its epic. Just in yah sleeping bag and set an alarm or you'll sleep in!! Im 6ft and 104 kegs and I fit in just right. Might be a squeeze for a 7ft person. But just stick your feet out and you'll be right

Amazing product

I was meant to do a review on this ages ago but I really wanted to use it in different situations first to really give a proper review. My first time sleeping in it was very uncomfortable, but purely my own fault as I didn’t have it level at each end so slid down all night and because I was warm and to lazy to get out I couldn’t be bothered adjusting in the middle of the night . Next night was awesome because I had it at level. Now I know how important this step is. Because you have a great sleep then. Overall brilliant and quick to set up as long as you have suitable distance trees. But even if you don’t have two trees one end can be to a vehicle, I tied mine to my ute bars. Have not tried it on the ground yet but will sometime and I’m sure it be great. I just love this design and just works so well . The nights I stayed in it were near lake Taupo and got a bit chilly at night but I was warm and toasty in the hammock.
Best money I have ever spent.

One of the best camping things I’ve bought

Spent a couple nights in it so far. Fairly easy to set up. Very comfortable. Had rain and wind aswell and it held up just fine. Didn’t get wet at all. Hopefully it will hold up in the long run but so far great.
